Hello, I’m Dr. Jeff Yergler, a Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive joint reconstruction surgery with rapid recovery plans. As a native of South Bend, IN, I am honored to continue my family’s legacy—my father was one of the original founders of South Bend Orthopaedics.

I am proud to be one of the highest volume surgeons in the country, fellowship trained, and skilled in the latest minimally invasive techniques and the use of better implants. With a commitment to utilizing the newest technology, I perform outpatient total joint replacements and engage in ongoing research and development, particularly as a developer for Zimmer Biomet and Canary Medical. Additionally, I present at national meetings and serve as a consultant for the University of Notre Dame and the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Ben Haberly

Physician Assistant

Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, I attended Purdue University where I earned a Bachelor’s in Biology, followed by a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Indiana State University. Since 2020, I have been working as a Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery, with a focus on total joint replacement. 

In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, playing sports, and traveling.

Nurse Practitioner

I graduated from Michigan State University with a Master’s Degree in Nursing and am board certified as a family nurse practitioner. I bring over 20 years of orthopedic experience to Dr. Jeff Yergler’s practice. I prioritize taking the time to get to know each patient while answering their questions in a caring and compassionate manner. While I have experience in all facets of orthopedics, I have truly developed a passion for total joint replacement and helping patients understand their unique physiology.

In my personal time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my wife and kids, especially watching them in their sports and activities.
